Defense Rails Post Machining-Aqua Blasting

Another specialty JVP component is a defense mounting rail that we make for the Kinetic Development Group.  After this part is precision machined, it goes to our deburring division to receive a process in which we call "Aqua Blasting".  The rail is placed in a small tank in which the part handler spray water mixed with granular sand at such a high pressure that it leaves a smooth and appealing finish on the part.  The parts then get sent out for a exterior coating process.  The end result of the appealing look and finish is heavily impacted by the aqua blasting stage.

Large Precision Machined Mold

This was a 6' x 6' machined aluminum mold for an aerospace component. Because of the large capacity of our Kia 1000 Horizontal Milling Center we were able to obtain tight tolerances and critical finishes on this piece despite the obstacles that came with its enormous size.
